The Mayor of the City of Sarajevo and the Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation to BiH discussed the continuation of successful cooperation

The Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation to BiH, H.E. Andrea Rauber Saxer visited today the Mayor of the City of Sarajevo, Mr. Abdulah Skaka in the City Hall, where they discussed continuation of successful cooperation, especially in the field of waste management and recycling.

Mayor Skaka informed the Ambassador about the results of his official visit to Zürich, during which cooperation between the two cities in the field of urban development was discussed.

Ambassador Rauber Saxer invited Mayor Skaka to a concert that the Embassy will organize in our city in August on the occasion of marking of 25 years of bilateral cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Swiss Confederation.

The Ambassador of Indonesia to BIH visited the Mayor Skaka

The Mayor of the City of Sarajevo received today the Ambassador of Indonesia to BiH, H.E. Amelia Achmad Yani, they talked about the establishment of stronger relations and cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Indonesia, and of their capital cities Sarajevo and Jakarta.

We would be particularly pleased if we could cooperate and develop good relations in the field of tourism, the Mayor Skaka pointed out.

The Ambassador Achmad Yani thanked the Mayor for the welcome and reception and invited him to be the guest at the largest trade fair TRADE EXPO 2017, to be held this year in October in Indonesia.

Mayor Abdulah Skaka received the President of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY)

The Mayor of Sarajevo Abdulah Skaka welcomed Mr. Carmel Agius, President of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY), who is staying in our city for the duration of the Conference entitled „Legacy Dialogues ICTY“ from 22-24 June.

On that occasion Mayor Skaka acquainted President Agius with the activities that the city of Sarajevo is currently undertaking with the aim of setting up the Information Centre Sarajevo in accordance with the Memorandum signed last year.

By setting up this Centre the City of Sarajevo desires to give a concrete contribution to facing the past,  building peace and reconciliation. This Centre should offer the public an updated, direct and secure electronic access to the public judicial records of the ICTY and the archive material contained in the online data bases of the ICTY.

The Centre will have a comprehensive function which will include education, research, museum and printing.
