Abdulah Skaka, Mayor of Sarajevo

skaka-profilThe Sarajevo Mayor Abdulah Skaka was born in Sarajevo on December 5, 1983. He completed elementary and secondary medical school in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Sarajevo and received his Master’s Degree on “Improving Strategic Operational Processes of the City Administration through the Application of Contemporary Management Concepts – City of Sarajevo”.

To the City Administration he came after a successful career in private entrepreneurship.

He was elected by the City Council for the 38th Mayor of Sarajevo on February 6, 2017.

In the mandate of the former City Administration, Skaka served as deputy mayor. As the youngest elected mayor of Sarajevo, Skaka brought new energy and improved the important role of the City of Sarajevo in the development of the state.

He is also a president of the Municipal Board of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) in Stari Grad.

Since 2009 he has been general manager at SKY Media Sarajevo. Previously he was a consultant and project manager in several companies, as part of the promotion and revival of old crafts and affirmation of young people in the formation and establishment of companies. During his career he was active volunteer work in the medical, humanitarian organization BIMA since 2004.

Skaka is the co-owner is a renowned Barbershop “Skaka” in the municipality of Stari Grad, which is an old craft traded. The father of two children is also happily married.
